Tony brings more than 25 years of experience in the transport engineering industry, with a career spanning Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. His expertise ranges from delivering traffic impact assessments for residential and commercial developments to leading complex transport assessments for multi‑billion‑dollar infrastructure projects.

Tony has played a key role in the development and delivery of nationally significant road infrastructure projects across Australia. His experience spans the entire project lifecycle, from strategic planning and business case development through to detailed design, procurement and delivery. This breadth of experience enables him to provide practical, evidence-based advice that balances technical excellence, stakeholder outcomes and long-term network performance.

Throughout his career, Tony has helped shape some of Australia's most transformative transport projects. His work has influenced the development of major motorway, freeway and arterial road networks that continue to support population growth, economic development and urban expansion. He combines deep technical expertise with a strategic understanding of how infrastructure investments create lasting benefits for cities and communities. His recent project experience includes leading transport assessments for the North East Link and West Gate Tunnel projects in Victoria, as well as the Logan Motorway Upgrade, Gympie Bypass Tunnel, and Centenary Highway Upgrade in Queensland.

Tony is the Operations Manager at SmedTech, playing a central role in overseeing the day-to-day performance and strategic direction of the company, ensuring that operational processes run efficiently and align with our broader operational goals. In addition to leading operational functions, Tony is a respected team leader who mentors and supports staff, fostering collaboration and maintaining a strong results focused culture. As a member of the SmedTech leadership team, he contributes to key decision making and helps shape long-term strategy to deliver sustainable growth and continuous improvement across the business.

Prior to joining Smedley Technical & Strategic, Tony spent 12 years with two leading international consulting firms. During this time, he held the role of Technical Leader for Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning within a multinational organisation operating across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
