Richard has extensive experience in the planning, design, and delivery of major transport infrastructure projects, having worked in the industry for over 45 years. In that time, Richard has held key leadership roles on significant projects such as the Regional Rail Link Package B, Hume Freeway (Craigieburn Bypass), Calder Freeway, the Western Ring Road, and more recently on the planning associated with the Level Crossing Removal program, the WestGate Tunnel Project, Western Roads Upgrade PPP, and the North East Link.

Richard has considerable experience in successfully delivering Environmental Effects Statements (EES) in Victoria. He was the Project Director for some of the most recent major transport EES studies, such as the Western Highway Project Sections 2 and 3, the Princes Highway Duplication, and the Peninsula Link Project. Richard was also the Project Director for the team undertaking the Comprehensive Impact Statement for the East West Link.

Richard provides value to clients across: planning for major civil engineering projects; project management; strategic review of project proposals; advice on preparation of project proposals and planning studies; constructability, costing, and design reviews; strategic advice and review of documents associated with EES, PSA, and other planning studies; assistance with developing bid strategies for major transport projects; assistance with the production of bid documents; and assessment of risks associated with major transport infrastructure projects.
